Excellent article by Jason Notte on TheStreet.com about the potential of the LikeMinds service and some of the concerns around like-minded discovery.

To make it easier to discover other like-minded people near you, we have added a feature that maps all our users based their location.     You can map other LikeMinds users based on the different countries, regions(e.g. states) or cities.

1.Item Summary: With a simple mouse over of any item, you get a  summary of that item , including the average rating by  your friends and LikeMinds.
2. Which friends rated it?
You can quickly see which friends have rated an item by just scrolling [...]

In addition to the Friends’ Consensus, you can now also summarize what your LikeMinds think are the best movies or books.  Filter by the genre or by the number of people that have rated it.
This will display on the LikeMinds tab under the section:
